Food Trip: Andale by Agave, SM Aura

All things wrapped and stuffed are special. They are close to everyone’s heart.

Unwrapping a gift for example, is like discovering the unknown – thrilling, exciting, full of wonders!

Tortillas, Burritos, even the interesting Tacos (?)  wrapped and stuffed are close to my heart — more like close to my heart, next to my hungry stomach.

Biting to one is like discovering the unknown – you’ll never know what’ll hit you. Devouring one is like discovering the unknown – thrilling, exciting, and this time around, its Mexican!

The spice, the crunch, the savor, and don’t forget the dips. The dips are oh-so-tomato hot good! Arriba, Arriba! Andale, Andale! Come on, let’s go to Agave! *dancing with maracas on hand

We started the meal right with enticing apertivos.

A sample of everything – so far, my favorite would be the quesadillas, I know I’m too predictable!

The exquisite blend of Mexican cheese and Ranchero sauce burst into a unique flavor in the mouth with the playful texture of crisp tortilla, creamy sour cream and guacamole – perfect!

Side note: one of the best tasting guac I have ever tasted is in here! Just the right blend of mashed avocado seasoned with salt, pepper, cilantro, mixed with mayonnaise and chopped tomatoes.

One of Agave’s Especialidades, Chili con Carne – A medium-spicy chile made from black beans, beef and tomatoes, served over lime-cilantro rice. 275
Chili con Carne’s spiciness is husband-approved! You will be seeing yourself reaching for some extra rice when you get the hang of black beans, tomatoes and savory beef in a spicy dry stew. I know I did.

The Manager as the bartender – mixing Mojito!

Classic Mojito – A refreshing blend of sliced limes with fresh mint leaves mixed with White Rum. Php 180

I never thought that even desserts here are served spicy!

Andale by Agave postre – Churros!

Sticks of fried dough are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside & coated in cinnamon sugar. Served in a margarita glass with spicy Chocolate Chili Dip. Php 190

Want to dare? Bite the jalapeno first before dipping the churros in the choco-chili dip! Let’s see who will turn their glasses bottom down first!

My team of food tasters aka family. :))
