Empties: May 2015

I thought that I’ll be leaving the month of May with my Bambam on my arms, but I guess he is taking his time and still is enjoying his luxury suite inside my tummy. Nevertheless, I am so happy that he is going full term – as I am 38 weeks last Friday!

Off! Soft & Scented – effective and safe mosquito repellent with soothing chamomile.

Vitress Instant Relax Cuticle Coat – there are actually five variants of Vitress specified to create different hair styles and care for specific type of tresses. This product contains special serum that wraps and seals strands to protect hair from damage while giving hair that extra shine and smoothness for instant straight hair.

Vitress Heat Protect – a must use hair product if you’re planning to soak under the sun or at least use hair tools like straighteners, blowers and curlers.

Celeteque Brightening Anti-Aging with SPF 16 – another sample tub from BDJ Bpx. I love to use this as a day moisturizer just before applying make up

ELF Gel Liner in Black – smooth and glides on easily until it dried out. :O The plastic container wasn’t that reliable.

Maybelline MasterLiner in Brown – you just have to be very careful in using this as hard hands may break the pencil. :/

Maybelline HyperCurl Volume Express – my non-existent lashes became visible and thicker. Pain in the *ss to remove if you don’t have proper makeup remover. Celeteque cleansing oil does the job (removing mascara) well.

ELF Eye Primer & Liner Sealer – I didn’t enjoy this product, not in a bit. The eye primer is too thick and it doesn’t help on keeping my eye makeup in place, it melts away. IDK if it is because of the humid weather or because I put too much, I tried putting as little as possible with failed result. The container itself is not very sturdy because it’s made with plastic – I dropped and break the liner sealer spilling the liquid. Sad.

Nature Republic Lemon Balm and Aritaum Fresh Essence Mask in Hydraulic Acid – some of my goodies that I got from Korea! 🙂 In instantly makes my face softer and smoother.

MJ Morning Glory Parfum – unisex perfume that last for a day.

wpid-img_20150409_110543.jpg

Cycles Sensitive Diaper Cream – Just like any other Cycles Sensitive product, it is fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and paraben-free. This got my back whenever baby pass a hard stool that irritate his skin, and it is also good on irritated genitals that was soaked in urine – sometimes we tend to forget to change/check diaper in time hence this happens. A thin layer is all I need when it comes to my baby, a swipe of thin layer of this and the redness will disappear after a while.

Victoria’s Secret Body Splash – in Sweet Temptation is a lush sensual fragrance with a hint of sweetness.

Ever Bilena Daily Sunblock Whitening Lotion – I didn’t see any whitening effect and it’s a bit heavy on my skin so this is better used when you’re inside an air-conditioned room with a some errands outside.

Avon Solutions Sun – has SPF 30. It’s in a spray bottle for easier use and is in liquid/water form hence easily absorbed by skin, lightweight but makes your skin look oily/shiny which is a good/bad thing depending on your preference. Definitely not for photo ops.

Skin White Whitening Facial Cleanser – good makeup remover and cleanser in one on days when I’m too tired to have a decent face wash before going to bed.

Natasha Shimmer Cologne in Paradiso Maui – perfectly used as a cologne and body glitter in one. Shimmer will stay the whole day while you have to reapply at least once to keep the fragrance strong enough. Glitters and scent to accessorize!

Kojie San Lolita in Fantasy – a cologne spray perfect for summer. Not too strong and gives a sweet scent of freshness.

United Homes Ferusulfate Iron – cheap iron supplement in preventing and treating iron deficiency anemia and also safe for pregnant and lactating women.

Vidal Sassoon Shampoo and Conditioner – first off, thank you so much BDJ Box for sending this over. It leaves hair feeling silky smooth without feeling heavy on my scalp. Manageable hair – clean and conditioned.

Physiogel Cleanser – more about this here.

Happy to abide my adieu to these useful products so that I could get my hands on new ones that are worth to try. Hello June! Please rain my way with more blessings! 🙂

Empties: January to March 2015

Shine Moist Keratin Treatment – used this as a regular conditioner when I don’t have enough me time which is usually every single day, but when I do, I use this after my shampoo. I blot my hair dry, apply this, and cover with a shower cap for a good 15 – 30 minutes. This product mainly contains keratin – a rich protein bond ingredient that helps nourish damaged hair without irritating sensitive scalp. This can also be used as a hot oil treatment to maximize softness.

Avon Naturals Body Refreshing Shower Gel in Green Papaya and Calamansi – citrus-y! That is how I would define the experience. Formulated with green papaya and calamansi extract, this refreshing perfect-for-summer shower gel leaves skin cleansed and “electrified”. 😉

Eskinol Pimple Fighting Facial Deep Cleanser – with micro cleanse anti-bacterial formula that promises to dry pimples in 3 days and lightens pimple marks. This product contains Salicylic acid, tea tree extract and Vitamin B3. Used this after washing my face before bed, to remove makeup that the cleanser and makeup remover didn’t get. Since this cleanser is alcohol base, I use a gentler toner from ZA Cosmetics just to balance the pH level of my skin before ending the night with my L’oreal Revitalift Night Cream.

Human Heart Nature Avocado and Gugo Bark Intensive Hair Mask – In my search for healthier hair, Human Heart Nature never disappoints. This hair mask is effective, no harmful chemicals and smells delicious!

Cycles Sensitive Baby Lotion in pink – it’s fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and paraben-free.This lotion is fast-absorbing and non-greasy – just right for the humid summer weather. It also effectively moisturizes my baby’s delicate skin, removing the scaly-looking dry skin while making it supple and elastic. Contains natural emollients that soothe dry itchy skin and prevents further drying. no parabens, sulfates, dyes and added fragrance that could irritate baby’s sensitive and allergy-prone skin.

Zenutrients Green Tea Lotion – I used this as a hand cream on the go. I love the leafy scent. Non-sticky and fast absorbing. Will definitely get a full size of this. Thanks sample room for my sample bottle. ❤

Belo Essentials Whitening Lotion – has skin vitamins which includes pentavitin that gently moisturize and nourish skin while enclosing active ingredients for whitening skin. I don’t feel the sudden whitening effect but I’m satisfied on how it feels on my skin.

Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle – know more about this here. Thank you BDJ Box and EverydayMePh for my samples!

Human Heart Nature Sunflower Beauty Oil – click here. If you wanna buy this safely online, check out Eliance Closet on FB and on IG.

Johnson’s Baby Bath in Milk and Rice – this post will be incomplete without any Johnson’s product. This helps complete skin nourishment for smoother and healthier skin not just for babies but for mommy’s too! Definitely included on my snatch-from-the-cradle product list!

ABS Herbs Grace Pure Virgin Coconut Oil – you could swallow a spoonful if you are brave enough but as for me, I use this as a belly rub. Just after bath, my swollen tummy is thirsty for moisture and this oil (aside from my HHN Sunflower oil) is perfect. Fast-absorbing, it effectively make my skin more elastic and the light coconut scent is relaxing.

Avon Naturals Body Care Lightening Papaya and Soy Milk – promises 30 hours of moisture. It contains papaya fruit extract for skin balancing nutrients and hydrolyzed milk protein for conditioning the skin. I’m not convinced on its 30 hours moisturization but it leaves my skin a delicious sweet fruity floral scent.

Band-Aid Isoproryl Alcohol – it’s disinfectant, antiseptic and with moisturizer? What more can I ask for? 😉

High Dessert Clover Honey – pure, natural, unprocessed. This honey is perfect as sugar replacement, spread or as a hot concoction. I love using this as a therapy for my soar throat and to strengthen my lungs. What I do is I mix two spoonful of this in a hot water, I sometimes squirt a lemon or a calamansi whichever is available.

Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer in pink – the smell is divine, the product works wonder on my pores. Good base before foundation. What I hate about it is that I didn’t, couldn’t used up all the product because of its packaging.

Dove Damage Therapy Intense Repair Conditioner – with patented micro moisture serum and fiber actives that reconstructs hair deep inside and prevents split ends and breakage. It promises of up to 9x less split ends. This product is for frizzy hair, and since mine has very fine line, my thin hair weighs heavy on my scalp and is literally sticking on my face.

High Dessert Honeybee Pollen – has natural vanilla, honey and whey. The toddler liked it so much, I need to hide the bottle to make it last. More about the goodness in this on a separate post. Stay tuned!

Head & Shoulders Shampoo in Cool Menthol – all I could say is, this is perfect for summer. Wanna iced up your scalp and feel cleaned, refreshed and energized? Use this.

Celeteque DermoScience Sun Care in face and body sun defense cream – with SPF 50 and Broad Spectrum uva and uvb protection. Perfect for everyday use. Very versatile as it could be use for face and body. A bag resident for reapplication in the afternoon.

Colgate Total Charcoal Deep Clean – reduces bacteria build up by up to 90% for a superior deep clean. More about this here.

Aido Cosmetic lipstick in H – tangerine color has very good pigmentation, affordable, locally available, creamy, no weird scent, good for everyday use but the plastic packaging looks cheap and you have to reapply every now and then.

Empties June 2013

Aside from samples and freebies, this batch of empties includes some of my staple everyday vitamins. 🙂

june empties

Vitamins included here are my trial pack of Ascorbic Acid, Sensedol for mild gingivitis, United Homes Iron for lactating and pregnant women and prevention of anemia. Aside from medicines that we take, we have medicines to apply. Just like the two empty tubes of Cortisan that i constantly have an extra or two, for babes bum rashes and open wounds, scars and pimples. That, I proved effect. A small travel size Sunflower ointment too. I just can’t believe I still am in love with this magic bottle all throughout my life! It’s vintage! And the minty smell is nostalgic – to me!

Oral hygiene empties include a travel size red Close Up and Colgate’s’ Optical White. Shampoos I’m finally done with are the Avon Natural’s Black Shine 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner in black sesame & bhringra for black hair which smells so good although I’m not really donning a super black hair, this was like my 4th or 5th empty bottle!

Black Beauty Crystal anti dandruff shampoo that manage irritated, flaking and itchy scalp due to dandruff. I’m not a dandruff person, I’m more of the oily hair kinda of girl so I wouldn’t be buying this line of Black Beauty unless the problem arises.  Good thing about it is that aside from it “heals’ the scalp,it nourishes and keeps hair silky smooth. So next time, i’ll remember crystal is for dandruff. Makes sense huh?

A sample size of oilatum that I talked about awhile back.  A small pack of Purity cotton and a travel-friendly hand gel from Pure Gel in frost berry scent. I would reuse the rubber lace again because its cute and functional.

Do you have empties for the month of June? Have you tried any of my June empties?

Avon Solutions Sun 30SPF UV Protective Body Spray

Yup, it’s not in a form of lotion like everything else, it’s a body spray!

avon solutions
This product was recommended to me by my sister, Beth. She is using this stuff every single day, I think she’s already running out her first bottle!
Like I said a thousand times before, the reason lazy person like myself used to say *insert biatchy tone here “it’s so sticky!”
So, what is this Solutions Sun is made of?
Well, according to its packaging …
*External Protection of SPF30 – high protection against sunburn and premature aging caused by UVA and UVB rays
* Internal Defense – formulated to help strengthen skin’s fundamental defense against environmental stressors and skin damage.

After several months of usage – I noticed that it has a strong stench smell of chemicals. It does makes your skin looks shiny and oily (which my sister hates, but I don’t mind it) maybe because it is effective in refracting the sun’s uva and uvb. It’s somewhat sticky when it dries despite the fact that it is not in a lotion form. The smell is freaking me out. I think I won’t buy this anytime soon unless they change their “formula”. But I think it really is good in protecting skin against the sun. So, if you don’t mind the smell, then you might want to try it and see for yourself. 🙂
